toasted ravioli
Oh man. I have been thinking about toasted ravioli all damn day. Like, since about 9:30 this morning. Actually I’ve been thinking about them for years, at least 5. Cause those 4 years of being veggie I couldn’t eat them and being in Seattle now makes it hard to find them. I don’t know why I was craving them especially bad today, but I just HAD to have some TODAY. So I made some. I swear the words “toasted ravioli” went through my head at least 100 times today, 50 of those probably on my way to Safeway to get the breadcrumb stuff. I’ve never made them before and was pleasantly suprised they turned out pretty yummy. I guess they don’t look that good in the picture, but trust me.. 5 years of toasted ravioli abstinence made all 12 of them awesome. I’m guessing they’re pretty bad for you, cause even though they’re called “toasted” they’re really fried. I feel like such a Southerner, frying my pasta. But yeah, I was so proud of them I called my mom to tell her (and devoted an entire post to them, apparently). They were a good way to chase away my school related ennui.
